What is the Price to Compare (PTC)?
One of the most important numbers on your electric bill is the Price to Compare (PTC). This is the base supply rate set by your utility (AEP Ohio). It provides a reference point to understand whether outside suppliers are offering a competitive price.
For example, AEP Ohio’s current PTC is $0.1052, so suppliers would need to offer a rate below that number in order for you to save money. In comparison, CEC’s current program rate is $0.09080, helping you save against AEP’s current PTC.
